Pet Safety Policy

Your pet's safety comes before everything else. Here's how visits are handled.

Before the first visit

We arrange a meet-and-greet so your pet and I can get comfortable, and so I can learn feeding schedules, routines, allergies, medical conditions, and behavior concerns.

Please share your veterinarian's name and number and an emergency contact at booking.

Walks and outdoor time

Dogs are walked on a secure leash or harness that you provide. Routes stay in familiar, pet-friendly areas, and walks are shortened or adjusted in extreme heat, cold, or storms.

Off-leash time is not offered outside of enclosed, owner-approved spaces.

Medication

Oral medication and simple topical treatments can be given when you provide only the amount needed for the visit or stay, along with written instructions. Anything more involved should be arranged with your veterinarian.

Emergencies

If your pet becomes ill or injured, I contact you immediately and follow the emergency veterinary instructions you provided at booking. If you cannot be reached, I act in your pet's best interest and keep contacting you.

Any veterinary costs incurred are the pet owner's responsibility.

Home access and privacy

Keys, entry codes, and building details are kept private and are never shared. Your home is left secured after every visit.

Behavior and comfort

Pets are never forced, rushed, or punished. If a pet shows aggression or serious distress, I stop, keep everyone safe, and contact you right away.
